Alan Espy was raised in north Florida but has called Palm Beach County home since graduating from the University of Florida College of Law in 1983. He has practiced exclusively in the area of civil litigation with extensive experience in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, insurance disputes, commercial and business litigation and in the litigation of probate and trust matters.
Mr. Espy has obtained numerous verdicts and settlements in excess of a million dollars on behalf of his clients in a wide range of different types of cases. He started Alan C. Espy , P.A. in 1993 and moved the firm to its present location in Palm Beach Gardens in 2001.
Mr. Espy has been board certified as a civil trial lawyer by the Florida Bar since 1992 and has been re-certified five times. He holds an AV rating for his legal ability and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell, the nation’s oldest guide to the legal profession. This is the highest rating a lawyer can obtain from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Espy is also listed in Florida Super Lawyers, a publication devoted to listing the top 5% of lawyers in the state of Florida through independent research and peer evaluation.
In addition to being admitted to practice law by The Florida Bar, Mr. Espy is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
Mr. Espy is the father of three daughters and has long been active in community affairs concerning the health and welfare of children. He enjoys running and has completed the Chicago and New York City marathons.
